Green Giant Garlic Parm Green Beans

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, toast the pecans over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until toasted and fragrant. Remove from pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  3. Once melted, add the sage leaves (stems removed).
  4. Keep the butter at a light simmer and cook the sage leaves for 3-5 minutes or until they start to become crispy and the butter is browned.
  5. Remove the sage leaves from the pan but leave the butter.
  6. To the same pan, add the green beans and turn the heat up to medium/medium-high.
  7. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. While the green beans are cooking, slice the apples.
  9. After 5 minutes, add the apples and pecans to the green beans.
  10. Cover and cook an additional 3 minutes.
  11. Remove from heat and sprinkle with crispy sage leaves.
