Cheesy Broccoli Pastry Bites

Ingredients

Green Giant Cheesy Rice & Broccoli sauced Frozen Vegetables

Directions

  1. Prepare the broccoli as directed on the package.
  2. While broccoli is cooking, in a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, parmesan cheese, one egg, garlic powder and pepper. Mix well.
  3. When the broccoli is done, add it to the cream cheese mixture and stir until thoroughly incorporated; set aside.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F and spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick spray; set aside.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it is a 10-11” square. Cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Gently press the pieces into the muffin tin, forming a cup.
  7. Divide the filling among the cups.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining egg and the tablespoon of water.
  9. Brush the tops and edges of the puff pastry cups with the egg mixture.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until puffed and golden.
  11. Great served warm or room temperature.
  12. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
